Re: At a cross-roads

since it seems that I am "young, and lazy" I have just walked in the door from my full time job, stopping long enough to go to my 2nd job. I have not "left the building" and I am not "whining" about anything. I simply asked a question and got reamed for asking it. As fa...

Re: At a cross-roads

I'm not trying to be a smart aleck here, but if the difference between an AZ and TX license is stopping you from getting TX license, then I suggest you focus on increasing your income. When I was a younger guy I was in the Navy and made such a small amount that I couldn't "afford" a pisto...

Re: At a cross-roads

If you're poor (like really, really poor) DPS will reduce their fee to half price. You're on your own getting a discount for the class. ah, no, we dont fall under those provisions. I have looked at the fee schedule for TX and I make about 5000 more a year than what would allow me to receive the &qu...

At a cross-roads

(not sure this belongs here, please move if necessary) Ok, so, I am financially unable to obtain my TX CHL at this time, I was just going through the AZ requirements and was curious as to if this would be a viable alternative until I can afford the TX class and license fees. Please advise and give y...

Re: Advanced Shooting near Abilene...

As I mentioned above, if you get the range/land made available for a course, Tactical Response will com put on a class. We took their Fighting Pistol and Advanced Fighting Pistol in Brady, TX, in 2007. I know they offered the same the courses the next year. Plus some Pat Rogers carbine classes have...

Re: Advanced Shooting near Abilene...

PROJECTKB, Let me know if you find something near Abilene. I work in Snyder but live in San Angelo and have been looking for some advanced training. Most of the stuff I see is in Metroplex or Houston area... San Angelo native here as well. I would be excited to find advanced training closer as well

Re: Pulled Over by DPS

On my Blackberry and my wife's, which are always locked and encrypted because they have company data on them, I used the "Owner Information" option to put ICE info on the main screen. I set mine up as: ICE: wife's name wife's phone number and her phone with my info. Emergency responders c...
