Re: NRA- ILA Call to Action!
Done. Thanks for posting this, I didn't get notification from NRA. Guess I need to adjust my contact preferences with them.

Re: ATF Issues Final Ruling on NFA Trusts, Eliminates CLEO Sign-Off
The only thing that bothers me about the notification aspect is what about public records laws? In many states if you write a letter to an elected official like a sheriff it becomes a public record. Unless state law provides an exception for Form 1s/4s sent under this new rule everyone's supposedly...

Re: UNT Campus Carry Draft Policy
Thanks for posting JohnBoy, I didn't know this was available. I'm happy they didn't try to outright ban as many classrooms as possible, but in my opinion there are still more than enough restrictions to make it difficult for a good number of folks to carry on campus daily. Some of the areas I see as...

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....
It's a shame junior colleges have to wait an extra two years. Not sure what the point of that provision was. I heard someone (Rep. Fletcher?) talk about that. Junior Colleges sometimes have dual-credit high school students on their campuses, sometimes separated from the college students but sometim...

Congrats Charles! This has been a long time coming! Thank you for all your hard work over the years on campus carry. Please make sure to pass along our thanks to everyone else working behind the scenes as well.

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....
Yes, early in the session I believe several universities came up with "estimates" of the financial impact of allowing campus carry. Some were in the hundreds of millions of dollars per year. Total bull.safety1 wrote:39 million dollars my foot. That number would fall under the category of abuse.

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....
My thoughts exactly - Rep. Fletcher gave a great speech/explanation of SB11 a little bit ago, it seems as though these Dems ignored every word he said.RoyGBiv wrote:Wilfully ignorant.v7a wrote:The current Rep that's speaking against SB11 must the dumbest Rep I've heard speak this session.

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....
So after reading the last 3 pages on this topic I still don't know if anything was resolved today. http://www.statesman.com/news/news/senator-makes-concession-on-campus-carry-gun-bill/nmQW7/ Open carry had the Huffines amendment removed in conference committee, now will head back to both houses for...

Re: HB 910 Conference Committee
Respectfully disagree. By removing Dutton, it precluded any chance at going to directly to the Governor. The Governor was pressured to veto open carry if it arrived at his desk with a Dutton/Huffines amendment. Would he actually veto it? I dunno, he is a strong supporter of 2A but also a strong sup...
