Re: HIgh Tech South American gangs breaking into expensive homes
That mirrors what the HPD officer told us years ago after someone broke into our house. Essentially, don't bother with the alarm as the police response would only be in time to write the report for insurance. Save the monitoring money and get an alarm sign and a decent sized dog. The dog's presence ...

Re: Liberals and the Ignorant
I would say that the current woke/SJ definition is more properly 'conservative male caucasian'.A definition of racism that is basically racist = caucasian

Re: Uvalde School shooting
One thing which I wish the media and politicians would do in these is actually fully list the charges the 'alleged shooter' will face (for the rare case they are taken alive like in Buffalo) or would have faced if they had survived. Too often the story is that we need laws on the book to prevent thi...

Re: Gas Prices!! How high do you think?
My F-250's engine decided that 218k was as far as the head gasket would take her back in November. I decided to garage her into project truck status and pickup a new Jetta rather than doing the repairs right then. Pretty lucky I'd say. The old truck was getting 12-14mpg on the highway compared to th...

Re: Revolver talk
I wouldn't mind a shorter barreled S&W (3"-4") in .44 Mag to go along with my 6" 629. The 6" is a nice revolver for the range or when out hunting, but is a bit oversize for daily carry. Also wouldn't mind a J/K in .357. It's only secondary as it's an additional caliber compar...

no experience with the new ones, but I've a 520a that dates back to just before WWII that's been the only shotgun I've needed since the 80s when dad let me first use it.

Re: Different Triggers On Different ARs in Safe.
My hunting AR has a Rock River 2 Stage Natl Match trigger which I thought was quite nice. It has a light long take up before the second stage which is very crisp. I installed a CMC trigger into my range lower when I built it. Single stage with virtually no take up and a clean break. I sometimes waff...

Prayers for success. I have a friend who had similar surgery a couple years back and it completely transformed her life. Wishing you similar great results.

Re: Couple of AK upgrades
That's an interesting setup. I'm guessing that the lever for the top cover is the locking piece for the two mount halves? Looks like it would be nice and solid. I'll be interested in how it works out for you. I've used the TWS Dogleg dust cover with their aperture sight before on mine but currently ...

Nope. I didn't see any of the new signs while traveling this weekend. Most places still had their old blue signs up saying that unlicensed carry was prohibited.

Re: Is it me or are postings down
I end up discarding more of my posts than I actually submit. Writing it down helps, but I seem to be getting much more cynical as I age and that really doesn't translate well into the written word especially in our current climate.

Re: SCOTUS: Dems introduce bill to add 4 new Justices
To be honest, I'm surprised that they are only wanting 4 extra. I was expecting an increase to 19 or 21 so that there would be a 2/3 majority on the court to show the liberal 'mandate' and ensure that one or two justices unexpectedly swinging on an issue wouldn't change the outcome.

Re: A Different Type of Secession Is Already Happening in the USA
The term 'flyover country' says enough to me about the difference in politics between the urban centers and the rest of the US.
The wife and I have been looking for a nice place out in the country to move to once the nest is empty.
