Re: Uncle Ted being investigated by Secret service

...not across the board, I don't...I think the problem is with the way those who use the term in a disparaging manner choose to apply it...if you're loud, angry, and outspoken...they call it redneck...I think the folks on Bunker Hill would have rankled at that..."redneck" can be disparaging, it can also be a badge of honor(working man) and a source of a lot of humor...and wealth if your initials are J.F....

...I can be polite, urbane, and educated in my expressions...and I can also behave ignorantly, in an uncouth, obnoxious manner...so can Ted...

Man I choke on my own spittle when I think about that. Sadly, I must agree.

Lol romney does not support the 2 amendment his actions as govenor prove that. As far as the rhetoric goes it happens on both sides all the time just barry is being a little sensitive when its lobbed his way. Remeber what they used to say about bush.

gdanaher wrote:"I'll tell you this right now: If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," Nugent said. "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"

He might find himself locked up for awhile. Threats should be taken seriously. And as a public person I suspect charges could be brought if someone else attempted something and pointed to his comments as the nexus.
...according to the lawyers I've seen evaluating the speech, these aren't prosecutable threats...time will tell...though raw and uncomforting, these statements are general predictions relating to how bad things are getting and the fervor with which we need to hit the polls in November...but those who value peace and safety above freedom...

I feel differently; there's a very definite, implied threat in those words. If I were on Obama's detail, I wouldn't be laughing at this.

What the Secret Service analysts would have to determine is whether it's a credible threat or just grandstanding - and they could drag such an investigation on for years. Don't tug on the tiger's tail to show off and claim shock if it bites back.
It seemed to me, from what I've seen and read he was conveying a doomsday scenario that, because of what Napolitano has said she considers terror threats, would see him dead or in jail if Obama was re-elected. Paranoid? Maybe. It still doesn't change my disappointment with the tendency of some of us in the RKBA community to pull back from others because they draw some unpopular attention. Ted Nugent isn't the first.
You ever hear of Dale Carnegie? You might ought to google him, his books and his classes. Just sayin'...

...remember who he's talking about...talking nicely doesn't work with emotionally based idiots who have proven over decades that they'll lie, cheat, and slap their mommas to take our rights from us...the best hope is to make enough VOTERS both aware and angry that we turn it around at the polls...which was his intent...social graces are deteriorating as they give more and more of our country away...and take more and more of what makes us Americans from us...either we stop it at the polls...or start printing "Remember Bunker Hill" tshirts...or just roll over, grumble a little, and take what they give us...
