...medicine sure has changed since I was on the streets...an aluminum brace/shield and enough white tape to stop traffic was for noses and wounds were bandaged...I bow to your experience, doubtless from more current times than mine...
...I haven't heard of a detective overlooking his injuries...but there are so many "camps", I guess I just haven't run across it yet...if there were injuries, there will be plenty of witnesses and physical evidence to support them...we've heard for days about all the blood...

...once the facts are known...translating it into a Texas-law-covered situation will be a great training excercise...there's a lot in this case to be considered...

...actually it is NOT...it is about the Zimmerman/Martin shooting compared to Texas law...and the facts/assertions/disputed facts/misinformation in the Z/M part are so hazy and constantly changing that the comparison is difficult, if possible at all...but any analysis of the Z/M case (not a hypothetical case) requires comparing FACTS to the Texas law...

...what we're getting reminds me of the new insurance salesman who went out and sold a group policy to Sears...and brought all the specimens in in the same bucket...kinda hard to analyze...

...videos aside, there are written medical reports and possibly crime scene pictures, as well as the medics' testimony and that of officers on the scene...the clothes he was wearing will have his blood on them, or not...etc, etc, ...the grand jury will have benefit of many more FACTS that nail down injured or not and how badly...we just get what the media promotes...and what is "leaked" in the way of police reports, statements, etc...before the man's future is decided, the 911 tapes will be analyzed to see whose voice it is and isn't calling for help...bushels and barrels of things we won't get here...we're not going to come to agreement on "what happened" here...too many "facts" opposing each other...
...after it's all DONE...this will be a great teaching model...mostly about what NOT to do...

...so have I, but I have seen medics put a bandage on head wounds to keep them clean, and something on a broken nose to keep it still...plenty of times...one of the videos on the news zoomed in when the back of his head was turned to the camera...no visible damage...just shine...

...with the "facts" changing and contradicting each other...before you can do an accurate analysis, you have to either find out what the facts are...or choose the set you want to accept...or the analysis won't be worth anything...too many controversial sides to the story at this point...

...an earlier TV news report stated those "facts" that I stated...

...police reports "leaked" to the press don't match with statement by detective who said he didn't follow...there are at least two "official" stories...that don't match...plus witnesses and 911 tapes...that don't match up in a lot of ways...
...theory? yep...his dad is a local magistrate* and mom works for the clerk of courts...we may never get the truth of what happened...I just hope the grand jury gets enough to make a correct decision...

...saw the video of Z in cuffs going from the squad car into the police station on two stations tonight...no visible sign of injury to either nose or back of head...not even a band-aid...unlikely that a medic would not put some kind of covering on the head "injuries"...we still don't have the truth about what happened after they began to interact...maybe some more witnesses will make an entrance...
