Re: Remember the Alamo.

...so would the Church Lady...we haven't had a whole lot to choose from...we need some patriots that people will get behind and that will lead us back to the principles that made America great in the beginning...

Re: Remember the Alamo.

...it can't be done in one election...you have noone who can displace both parties and overcome their money and voting blocks...if you can't agree with that...the argument's pointless to continue...and the current occupant of the White House will appreciate your vote...

Re: Remember the Alamo.

??? train just left the tracks...I'm not being snarky...that last post didn't support either side of the discussion...could you explain???

...we're playing cowboys and Indians this election...those who're over in the corner beating the snot out of a horse thief are helping the Indians...

Re: Remember the Alamo.

...so your option of choice is option 1??? there is no possible chance that any person who doesn't have the support of the GOP can beat obummer this election...none...if you doubt it, put your ideal candidate in a poll and ask the next hundred people you meet...you'll see that it's true...

Re: Remember the Alamo.

...when a government has become as corrupt as ours has, there are only two ways to fix it:
1) revolution and complete overthrow

2)gradual improvement, election by election

...those that don't realize we can't fix it in just one election, and are willing to throw their vote away on "principle" instead of using it to cut out the worst of the evil first, probably wouldn't stand up for option 1 either...when the revolution began, the colonials knew they were going up against the biggest, best equipped army in the world...logistically, they didn't have a chance to win...they were just sick enough of living under the King that they were willing to die to have a chance at freedom...

...Ideally, I'd like Jesus Christ to be president...but till that happens...someone who has the same concern for us all...however...noone who really has those ideals has the political backing to have a chance to win in this election...so what's the next best thing to work for??? I believe when faced by a pack of hungry wolves...shoot the biggest one first...that might get the attention of the rest of them that this sheep's different and might not be up for being supper...in this election, the patriots of this country should unite(there's that word we haven't used much lately) behind one man who can win against the current office-holder...a resounding defeat would give the rest of our government such a wake-up call as they haven't heard in 40 years or more...and show them that they'd start paying better attention to We the People...then, the next election...cut off another chunk of the diseased government...and so on until we've cleaned it up...it didn't get sick overnight, and it won't get well overnight...like a marriage on the rocks...but step one is to beat the one whose every speech, every state visit, every appointment, and every executive decision sends us closer to collapse and ruin...that is the only cause we can win in this election...and if we don't put our efforts into that...we may not enjoy another presidential election...

Re: Remember the Alamo.

...that compares to me giving my last magazine full of ammo to a blind man and hoping the Indians don't get me...and I mean no insult by that...just trying hard to convey that any vote not fired against the enemy benefits him...

Re: Remember the Alamo.

Hoosier Daddy wrote:Keep telling yourself that. Maybe it will be some comfort to you.

...comfort isn't the goal...the goal is getting the incumbent and his henchmen out of office...I'd vote for Donald Duck to accomplish that...the greatest "principle" or "conscience" issue is stopping the evil...so that we get future elections...I don't think a lot of folks realize how much jeopardy our nation's in...

Re: Remember the Alamo.

...it's not surrendering...it's making your shot(vote) do SOME good...even though you can't win the war in this battle...not like shooting into the air for a protest...

Re: Remember the Alamo.

...you have the right to waste your vote on someone who doesn't stand a reasonable chance of being elected, thereby insuring obama's victory...

...you do not have the right to call those of us who realize we must accomplish replacing obama with ANYONE if we are to have a country left to improve cowards...and you owe us all an apology...
