This may have been covered but is it more than an oral threat if someone threatens you with a "gun" that is in their coat pocket? May or may not be a real gun but anyone on the receiving end would think so.
...a threat of a weapon given in commission of a crime is the same as you seeing the weapon...the crime is charged the same as if you saw the gun...and the result of faking it could be the same, too...it'd be a shame if someone died from having a stiff finger, but it's prolly happened before...prolly will again...
...you gotta make up your mind WHEN and IF you want to draw and/or fire...my post deals with cognizance and realizing how serious the situation really is...taking out the "oh, this isn' t really happening" and "surely he won't shoot" from the mix gives you an edge...when half-seconds count...
