Re: Replacing Lost Certificates
I make a copy of the 100 AFTER they sign and keep the copy in my files. When they request another copy, I send them a PDF copy of the form with all signatures. Have only had a few, I do the same thing easy enough to email it back to them.... i use a portable scanner or use an app on my phone to get...

Electronic Signature
Has anyone seen or heard DPS will accept a electronic signature using Adobe for the LTC8 or LTC 100 for instructors ,I am more wondering about the LTC-8 so i do not have to print out the form sign and then scan it back in.

Re: Online Meeting Class
Thanks i assumed so, worth a ask...
funny it would be a face to face on cam, i understand the id and test part that would be in person. DPS needs to get into 2020 , unless the online training groups are keeping DPS from relaxing the rule.

Online Meeting Class
Gents and Ladies, I have several people that want to take the LTC class, due to the current state we are in. I would like to limit the exposure to myself and also the students. I was thinking would DPS count me using a online meeting like Webex as online. I was thinking i would do the classroom port...

Re: Instructors that wear Body Armour
I used to wear body armor when I shot at public ranges. My friend that is an insurance policy for sure, some of the things I have seen at ranges, I need a full armor suit head to toe, maybe a bomb blast suit? , I used to go to a public range that I would carry and shoot my other pistols and when it...

Re: Age old debate: LTC Badges
I don't see the appeal of wanting a badge that says you're a LTC holder... It's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist imo. If you OC and have the cops called on you just wait until the cops come and hand them your license... and then afterward decide if you wanna press charges against the peop...

Re: Instructors that wear Body Armour
I wear IIIA body armor, doing a proficiency test outdoors or use a indoor range that does not use cinder block stalls, when multiple students are shooting. My wife was present when a student turned towards me, I was not close enough to stop her. Fortunately, it was a stove pipe issue, the student w...

Re: Instructors that wear Body Armour
I do not own any body armor but have on several occasions thought about using it in certain circumstances. I do employ other “passive” safety measures which I think are wise for all to use. I always keep an eye on the students muzzle. Even when engaging in unrelated conversation. I always stand on ...

Instructors that wear Body Armour
Fellow instructors, I wanted to see who wears Body armor, concealable or plate carriers at the pistol quals ...... after having another student swing around to talk to me with a gun in its hand (thankfully I saw it coming step aside and pushed her elbow back into the stall... got me thinking should ...
