You are assuming they will listen to reason, which will not happen. There are liberals on this board, they will argue their point over any subject that "could" happen but when something actually does happen because of their party affiliation...they don't have much to add to the topics. Case in point why trying to "win" them over will not work; look at the difference between the Tea Party rallies and the Occupy rallies, look at the difference in the debates on the news, who always is quick to smear someones character and call names? It isn't the right side of the isle. My point is, I believe the very FAR left are like the children that picked up their toys and went home because you didn't do what they said. It seems to be okay for them to make remarks about violent retaliation, but God forbid anyone else does it. It seems to be okay for them to "misremember" if that is even a word; had it been one from the right side that would have been "flip-flopping". It seems to be okay for them to "mis-speak" whereas anyone else would be a liar....sorry, I am tired of playing by their unbalanced rules, I do not wish to win over the hearts and minds of the people who are trying to rob me of what is mine. I think they should all go kick rocks....anygunanywhere wrote:I don't know. Some here think that we should use diplomacy and try to win the antigunners and commies over to our side. Re: The Next American Civil War
I love the pessimistic people who think we talk bigger than we are or that our spirit has faltered. I could only hope my future enemies underestimate my resolve as well. My friends and I are in agreement with you mr surveyor. I moved out to the middle of nowhere simply because the schools for my son still say The Pledge of Allegiance, not only to the USA, but also to Texas everyday, and they do not leave out "Under God" My sons basketball coach is the preacher of the town church also, it's like Mayberry.mr surveyor wrote:Stupid wrote:No offense, we have lost that spirit a LONG time ago. Re: The Next American Civil War
It all boils down to where you draw your line...will you abide by a registration? a confiscation? will you be coerced? will you take the mark? (example). We are only remembered by our character and convictions. I wasn't blessed with money or great intelligence, but I was given was moral fortitude. I am very hard headed and it has been said before that when my mind is made up, nothing short of killing me will change my actions...I plan on remaining consistent in that aspect of my life.

Re: The Next American Civil War
I always wondered how it would play out...if we didn't willingly turn in our firearms. Would some entity go door to door seeking out and forcibly taking them? If so when they came to my house, I would assume my dogs would get maybe one, I think I may be able to get two or three before they got me. If everyone else thought this way, wouldn't they soon run out of people going door to door to confiscate them? I don't see that day playing out in my lifetime, nor do I see very many of our active law enforcement or military that would be willing to execute that task, so who would do it? The UN maybe? I like those guys, that pastel blue stands out really well and would make a very nice target against that red chevron. If, and I feel it is a big if, that day comes, it will be long into the future. I think now they will focus more on chipping away, via magazine capacity restrictions, types of actions available to civilians, and extreme tax on ammunition. So that when that day comes, it will be all that much easier.
