Re: Summertime clothing options for CC
I've been using a heavy duty belt made for pistols, from Blackhawk with cargo shorts. That holds my Serpa retention holster with my XDM 45. That's a heavy gun and I need to keep the belt tight to keep the gun upright or else is flops to the side. On the weak side I have a single Galco leather double...

What makes me suspicious is "teen cleaning out a cabinet". Right. What teenager cleans anything? Unless he was making room for his stash

Re: open carry
* OC is, unequivocally, faster to draw from than CC. Period. CCers can argue all they want how pretty darn close they can get, but an unobstructed pistol at 3:00 OWB is always the benchmark. If it were faster to draw from concealment, you'd never see a gun because police officers would conceal all ...

Re: Houston: Fatal shooting at Worthing High School
In North Carolina, there is a bill in the legislature to allow concealed carry into restaurants and parks. Yes it's currently illegal to carry into a restaurant that serves alcohol in NC. This bill has passed the House but had an amendment that allowed firearms to be banned from municipal parks with...

Re: open carry
As for LEO's and OC in Texas, they already know the laws (or should) on concealed carry and this law doesn't change anything but allow one to open carry. The LEO, seeing someone with a firearm, can assume that the person is licensed. Any LEO seeing someone openly carrying a gun will be justified to...

Re: open carry
First I'm for open carry and for this bill (or any other bill that provides OC). I think society is best served by a combination of people that carry both openly and concealed. Keeps the BG's guessing. For me I will likely carry partially concealed in a retention holster. As for LEO's and OC in Texa...

Re: Grapevine PD
The OP mentioned a tow truck operator that swept up the debris. Perhaps it fell from the packet the office had and the tow truck operator picked it up. He might have meant to return it to the OP and forgot or perhaps wanted to keep it. Or it fell on the floor or under the seat of the police car.

Re: Guns missing from Netanyahu's luggage
Something doesn't sound right with that.
Why is he flying American Airlines and not El Al? Is he and his security detail not entering us US under Diplomatic credentials so his luggage would have been handled as diplomatic status?
This doesn't pass the smell test.
Well, either way, it stinks.

Re: Open Carry News Tidbit
And don't forget that Texas has size, wording, and posting-visibly requirements, and very few businesses post enforceable signs. I think most people would still carry concealed almost all the time and the status-quo we have now would go right on going into the ages. So if I got this right, then the...

Re: 1/2 of Police Force in Camden NJ to let go!
So let's see who's to blame for this? The Union for the officers refused to accept a lower pay offer that would have brought back 100 officers of the 167 laid off. According to the article: "he average rank-and-file officer has a salary and benefits worth $140,000 a year" http://www.nj.com...

Re: Hou Chron article today on Campus Carry
Pretty good article. This guy's comment "bugs me": Frankie Shulkin, a first-year law student at the University of Texas, said he doesn't think he'd feel safer if other students in his classes had guns. "If I was taking an exam and knew the person next to me had one, I don't know how ...
