The whole notion of declaring schools "Gun Free Zones" is so utterly stupid that it's difficult to believe so many people feel so proud about supporting it.

The parking lot bill (now law) does not apply to school employees/parking lots.....

CHL's can carry in a school parking lot under TPC46.03 (46.035?).
Yes... It's an improvement for teachers who want to carry to and from work, but I really don't see how this Irving proposal does anything useful to protect students. I suppose you could argue that a teacher faced with an active shooter could run to the car a grab a gun. In the 5 minutes it took the Newtown shooter to wreak his havoc, I don't see how a gun in the car would be much of an improvement.
