I try to reward my kids for making an honest effort. I think this qualifies. But I think they can do better.
But just like kids, you gotta keep an eye on them every second.

Just sent them a letter thanking them for reconsidering their policy and I turned on my account notifications again.
As much as it was a bad decision originally, just like raising children, I think you should reward them when they do the right things and punish them for doing bad things.

Thanks for the update Wes.

Re: BOYCOTT GROUPON

Reply received promptly..
Hi RGB,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate your feedback and take these inquiries seriously.

Gun-related deals, including shooting ranges, conceal-and-carry, and clay shooting, are on hiatus as we review our internal policies for the types of deals that we feature. Groupon has always aimed to offer deals driven by local consumer preference and request; at this time, enough consumers have asked us to eliminate the category that we believe a review is warranted. A decision has not yet been made.

If you'd still like to unsubscribe, you can do so by clicking "Unsubscribe from all Groupon emails" in your account at http://www.groupon.com/subscription_center" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, or the "unsubscribe with one click" link at the bottom of our daily emails.

Thank you again for contacting us and please let me know if I there's anything I can do.

And my reply to them today....
Thank you for your reply to my inquiry. Due to your "hiatus" on firearms deals, I have decided to take a hiatus from your service and have unsubscribed accordingly.

My suggestion is that you follow the lead of Starbucks, a company that saw no negative impact to their business from allowing local law to decide firearms related issues..

"The political, policy and legal debates around these issues belong in the legislatures and courts, not in our stores.",

I'd ask you to reconsider this ill-advised decision.
