The bill contained an amendment introduced by Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) that prohibits the Secretary of the Interior from enacting or enforcing any regulations that restrict possession of firearms in National Parks or Wildlife Refuges, as long as the person complies with laws of the state in which the unit is found
The national Park carry rule was shoved down BHO's throat attached to a credit card reform act.. It's not as if he signed it on its own.
Still hurdles to overcome.

:headscratch

But anyway, I'm in favor, hope this passes. Would be nice to have a firearm with me the next time I run through central park.
Me too... Except for the "running" part...

Re: National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011

I read about this a few days ago and the version I read suggested that the law may only apply in cases where the state already issues permits for CC. Now, NY is a MAY issue state, so, I'm not sure if the proposed law would force NY to honor my TX permit since NY does issue permits.... I would hope that this is the case... If so, only IL would remain off limits.

Just the fact that this law has any traction is awesome.
If anyone know what can be done (in addition to asking my Congressman and Senators to support it).. speak up.
