Re: Ted Blocker Gun Belt Size 36

I see my belt is making the rounds due to size issues, so, let me try to help out a bit.....

The belt is sized properly as marked. It measures +/-35 inches from the buckle end of the leather, to the center hole. +/- 36 inches from the end of the buckle to the center hole....

What's deceiving about that size is that it doesn't account for the fact that gun belts are thicker (sorry I forgot to confirm the thickness before I sold it) than a regular belt.

Just going from a regular belt to a gun belt, you would normally add one size (2 inches usually) and then you need to consider how you plan to carry. If you intend to carry OWB, then you should be ok with just +2 inches, assuming you don't have an unusually thick OWB holster. If you plan to carry IWB, then the gun belt will need to fit around the extra dimensions of the gun, so, in addition to needing a bigger size to account for the thicker, less-flexible material, you need to add another couple of inches for the gun and IWB holster...

I used this with a matching OWB Yaqui slide when my waist was ~32 inches... If you plan to use this for IWB, I think it should fit a 30-32 inch waist size, but it really depends on how bulky your rig is. I never did try this with an IWB holster.

It's a nice sturdy belt, very lightly used (mostly at the range) and should provide many years of service to the right size owner. Maybe the for sale ad should be titled "Sturdy Gun Belt seeking Cinderfella" :smilelol5:
