Neither can the D party, thus far.

And..... Noem

As much as Haley has disappointed me at times, she's FAR better than Harris and a far better GOP VP running mate than Gabbard.

I'm a big fan of promoting Governors to POTUS. Governors have already been responsible for "buck stops here" decisions, unlike Senators and congress critters, who often lack any real decision-making or leadership experience (Biden, Obama, Bush 41). I like Dan Crenshaw a lot, but, he's not my guy for POTUS, as an example. I'd be more likely to vote for another (saner) guy from the business world than for a congress critter. You might convince me on Mike Lee, maybe. But, I'd rather see Mike as Chief Justice.

Re: DeSantis or Trump?

DeSantis / Noem.

Never Gabbard. She may not be a full-on Leftist, but she's certainly a Democrat, with all the accompanying policy negatives.

Rice has stated many times her intention to NOT pursue the office.

Re: DeSantis or Trump?

DeSantis.

If Trump was smart, he would support DeSantis asap. Maybe a DeSantis / Noem ticket.
Trump not running would leave him free to be kingmaker. He'd love that. He could make all the mean tweets he wants and the Left would go mad over it, leaving DeSantis to run on his record and focus on the issues. Trump could get dirty while DeSantis stays clean. It would be an incredibly powerful combination.
