As does my Rabbi. but it has been reported in several media outlets that its illegal for medical professionals to ask about guns. It's also been reported that its not, that you have to answer, and that you have to answer truthfully. It doesn't surprise me that people don't know what the law really says. After all, they had to pass it in order to read it.
Being sarcastic doesn't really help. We need to be good ambassadors and help educate them. It's the only way to return this country to its roots without resorting to the bullet box (which may end up happening anyway).
I take no oath to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth to my MD. They are there to preform a service at my request. They are not there to interrogate me. Questions outside their jurisdiction will be met with answers that bear little resemblance to the truth.
we have agreed as a family to say that we have guns and they are in the safe....truth is they are not all in the safe, we've out grown the safe

and we don't keep our carry guns in the safe, we have and older teen and an adult teen and no longer feel the need to "safetify" everything. they both know where the guns are and how to protect themselves if we can't get to them.
