Re: What is considered a Switchblade Knife ?
Thank you for answering my question twice. I thought there was no such thing as a stupid question on here? As stupid as it may have been, it was clarification that I was seeking for my own comfort about the issue.

What is considered a Switchblade Knife ?
I need some clarification about "switchblade knives" in Texas. There are many different knife makers that make "assisted open" knives, such as Kershaw's Ken Onion knives and Gerber's F.A.S.T. knives. These are sold at Academy and many other retailers throughout Texas. They have a...

Re: What is an "Illegal Knife" ?
What is the difference between a prohibited knife and an illegal knife? Are the kind of knives I described in my first post on this topic "prohibited"?

Re: [Pre-paid legal service]
Texas Concealed Handgun Association has a CHL "Protection Plan". I have only heard very good things about it even from my CHL instructor. I singed up for it. Check it out at their website. Very reasonable for 4 years of access to attorneys.

Re: Get Real or Get Lost!
Good point and the same logic could apply to college campuses but the politicos seem to think arming students and faculty will make the place safer somehow, which it might. But by the same logic it might also make workplaces safer. I'm gathering from some of the other posts that it sounds more like ...

Re: Get Real or Get Lost!
Thank you all for the great points you make. Additionally, there is considerable research out there where you will find statistics going back for many years on the significant number incidents of workplace violence that occur every day across the country. Just because it doesn't make the six o'clock...

Get Real or Get Lost!
The campus carry bill is good legislation but let's "Get Real" college campuses and no more and actually less dangerous places for crazed gunmen shooting innocent students/faculty than workplaces where there are numerous documented incidents where a disgruntled employee has been fired and ...

Shoot... Don't Shoot?
I'm a bit confused from something my CHL instructor said in class. I understood him to say "never, never draw your weapon unless you have already made the decision to shoot because you believe your life is in immediate danger". So, what if I do feel my life is in immediate danger but becau...

"Concealed" ?
I know what the law states about your weapon being "concealed", and "discearnable" but is it against the law if someone suspects or has general knowledge that you carry? For example I use a fanny pack to carry because other methods I've tried "print" on my small body fr...
