Looks like Toomey caved in to Bloomberg. That's why he's on board with Schumer, et al.

Re: Federal background check "compromise"
In a 'compromise', both sides get something, both lose something. I see NOTHING the 2A community gains from this. And nothing that couldn't be taken back in a heartbeat.gthaustex wrote:I'm tired of everyone telling me I have to compromise. No more. Ever.

Wouldn't hold my breath. But he needs a downgrade. And Manchin as well. How he retains an "A" rating is beyond me.Poldark wrote: Waiting for the NRA to F rate Toomey by sundown ?

Re: Federal background check "compromise"
Some of this wording is scary:
I HOPE the NRA comes out and revokes the A rating of Manchin and Toomey for this. I really do.
So, if you post on a web board, and that board has any 'paid' (and they could REALLY stretch the meaning of that) advertising, or the web site is paid in any way, it could fall under this?A bipartisan group of senators has struck a deal to expand gun background checks to all commercial sales — whether at gun shows, via the Internet or in any circumstance involving paid advertising, according to Senate aides familiar with the talks.
I HOPE the NRA comes out and revokes the A rating of Manchin and Toomey for this. I really do.
