From what I've read, the boy is black and he has been warned repeatedly about not being at a girl's house if the parents don't know him. As such, it's obvious that he had fair warning that certain actions could have a detrimental effect upon his health. The house is owned by a "Tyler Israelson", but as far as I can determine, it appears to be leased to someone else, possibly within the last few months. I cannot determine the name of the renter, much less the race. As such, I'll *assume* that the girl was also black since if she was Anglo, I would suspect that the father would have just shot the boy on sight.

If the boy had shown proper deference to the father and not made any sudden moves, there's a good chance that the father would not have killed him. The boy did a number of things wrong and for that reason, Darwin caught up to him.
