It's difficult for me to respond nicely to this ridiculous accusation. To globally categorize anyone who has concerns about the Utah CFP in terms of irresponsible advertising and a resulting backlash that harms reciprocity as being "for more govt. control" is to adopt the tactics of Sarah Brady. It smacks of "if you disagree with me, you have evil motives."

MANY on other sites I have been on have had nothing but negative to say about those holding a Utah CHL. To make such a 'global' statement, probably is a little harsh, and for that I apologize. Only one person, an LEO, backed up his comments with facts, and not just opinions or crap. This isn't about me. I have my lic. I can go get a Texas lic. if I choose to do so. But when there are so many that want to spew inaccurate info. about others, it's hard to swallow. I would rather those that do not know, or their opinion is so harsh, to just keep their mouth shut and let's help each other. I have my lic. to protect myself and my family. I can only hope that any of us are there when needed to protect those that can't or choose not to.
My time online isn't to attach others, but not to listen to inaccurate info. either.

I just got my Utah CHL today. Been a Texan all my life, and proud of it. Took about 45 days to get in mail. I took the class because it was less money, and time. I'm sorry if that bothers people. If it does, don't shop at Wal Mart, the money goes to Arkansas, but you'll be saving by shopping at Wal Mart in most cases. Same difference. I would rather give my money to my home state, but it's Texas that set the costs higher, not me. Do I agree with the requirements for the Utah CHL, not entirely, but I believe first in the 2nd Amendment, so I think any legal person should be able to carry anyways, so biased there. Hopefully none of the new bills will pass! Why, see my sentence about the 2nd Amendment. The only reason it will pass if it does, is money. State is suffering right now and might shut it donw, but that only helps the criminals in my opinion. It might be a small amount of people that put it off, but for each one of them that doesn't get to defend themselves due either bill, that's a waste. I got my CHL to defend myself and my family. I hope some advertising or money
