I think the "hero complex" explains a lot of this.

OK back on topic. How did Z go from, according to his attorney, "having no where near the assets to bail out" to bailing out the next day.

It was fairly clear who your comment was aimed at but I guess since you're a moderator if I protest too much you will just ban me.Keith B wrote:Never called anyone a troll. I just said 'Speaking of trolls'. Who said that was aimed at you??

I would think calling a member a troll would also be an attack. Just saying. And that was only the most recent example. There have been many others.

Re: 17y/o Killed By Neighborhood Watch/CHL
As was said most of those are not a solid indicator of impairment. Second I do not know where you got your definition but syrup afaik is codeine and is either mixed with a drink or in some cases used as a coating on a blunt. Third I have lots of experience around people who are under the influence of various drugs and from a distance it is near impossible to tell if someone is high.baldeagle wrote:TM didn't just smoke MJ. He also used "sizzurp", a combination of Arizona Watermelon Tea, Skittles and Robitussin that makes you high. When mixed with MJ it can have unexpected effects similar to PCP. If you don't have any experience dealing with people high on drugs (I do), you might not recognize the signs. There are numerous signs that can be easily picked up from a reasonable distance; fidgety movements, constant meaningless motions of the hands, arms and legs, frequently dropping things, wandering aimlessly, gazing for lengthy periods of time at fixed objects, impaired coordination, chain smoking, etc., etc.The Mad Moderate wrote:And how does one look high. Especially on MJ, could he see his eyes were red all the way from the car? Did he smell it? Or did he just suspect it because he looked like a "thug"?
PS
The mixture you describe is cough syrup with some things added for flavor, alcoholics are know to drink nyquil to get a buzz. And from my personal experience I can tell you mixing MJ with otc cough syrup does not have ANY effects similar to PCP.

Zimmerman said that on the 911 tape.

Re: 17y/o Killed By Neighborhood Watch/CHL
What kind of logic is that, its all about perspective. If you were walking alone at night and you noticed someone was following you so you sped up and they sped up too would you not call that being chased. You argument holds no water and is completely lacking in logic.ScooterSissy wrote: and the person he was following sped up, he would have to speed up as well. That's not chasing, that's still following.

Re: 17y/o Killed By Neighborhood Watch/CHL
Yeah but you can't let facts or logic get in the way. How many people here would feel threatened if they were being followed by someone late at night and take actions to defend themselves from said threat.speedsix wrote:...I agree...I have a very FIRM grasp on what happened...if Z had done what he was trained to do...and hadn't done what he was trained NOT to do...nothing would have happened...Z didn't just get out of his car to observe and keep an eye on a suspicious person...he followed him to the point that TM ran...and chased him...instead of making the call to the police (like a reasonable person) and letting THEM do their job...Martin couldn't have jumped him if he'd done what he'd been trained to do and nothing else...he tipped the first domino...his actions after he made the 911 call stimulated TM to do what he did...had he just sat in the car, even, and let TM walk on, there would have been no confrontation...
