Re: Houston Theater District
But does "owned by a governmental entity" supercede "leased by a private corporation?" There is some difference of opinion on that one around these parts. The majority feel that you read the law the way it is written and that 30.06 cannot be enforced if a property is owned by a ...

Are university-affiliated clinics statutorily off-limits?
As mergers continue in the healthcare field, I'm noticing an increasing number of clinics that are affiliated in one way or another with universities. Re: Road Rage Witnessed
There was no escape route for the trapped vehicle except reversing, which would have been nuts with oncoming traffic! One of the (many) reasons I drive a pickup truck is that the curb ceases to be an escape barrier. That was even more true when I drove a 4x4. I don't know if it would have helped th...

Re: Carrying at the Post Office
Maybe I'm missing something. Reading through this thread, I see a lot of discussion about how various federal statutes put 39 USC 232.1 in control of conduct on postal property to the exclusion of other federal laws. But nobody has mentioned 232.1(p)(2) which says, in part, "Nothing contained i...
