Re: Top 3 drugs of abuse per CDC FYI
Yes you can die from alcohol poisoning. A person can also die from ingesting to much salt water. The point I am trying ti make is that some things are more of a contributing factor.CoffeeNut wrote:"alcohol doesn't cause deaths either". I guess you've never heard of alcohol poisoning? Plenty of people die every year from drinking too much at one time but I've never heard of someone dying from doing too much pot. All of your other questions are eliminated by the testing done on someone when they show up to the ER after those famous "watch this" moments.MeMelYup wrote:Your statistics state thar marihuana has caused no deaths. I must strongly disagree. Back in the 1940's and 50's Diabetes didn't cause death either, it only contributed to them. Alcohol doesn't cause deaths either but it contributes to them in many ways. Does marihuana effect a persons depth perception, like alcohol? Does marihuana cause a feeling of utopia for some people, like alcohol can? With some people does marihuana induce an "I can do this" feeling when the person is incapable, like alcohol can? Does marihuana reduce inhibitions, like a cool does? If you have enough marihuana can you "not remember" what you did, like with alcohol?
In the 40 and 50 diabetes was not considered to be what killed people, although it did make a person more susceptible to other problems and amplified them.
Alcohol can cause problems both mentally and physically. Alcohol can cause parts of the body not to function properly (sorosis of the liver). It can impede a persons judgement. It can cause personality changes. How many have seen the person that would't harm a butterfly when sober, but will fight brutally with anyone that gets in their way when drunk?
Has marihuana been tested yet to see what heavy use does to a person both mentally and physically? We know it impairs judgement when used. I've seen smokers walk into things and observed one talking to a parking meter.
I'm just saying all the facts are not there. I have seen videos of students driving a course in a parking lot after consuming multiple shots of alcohol. Here is one with marihuana. " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
