Adding the three words in parentheses would take care of the problem.
"Sec. 411.209. WRONGFUL EXCLUSION OF CONCEALED HANDGUN LICENSE HOLDER. (a) A state agency or a political subdivision of the state (or their tenants) may not provide notice by a communication described by Section 30.06, Penal Code, or by any sign expressly referring to that law or to a concealed handgun license, that a license holder carrying a handgun under the authority of this subchapter is prohibited from entering or remaining on a premises or other place owned or leased by the governmental entity unless license holders are prohibited from carrying a handgun on the premises or other place by Section 46.03 or 46.035, Penal Code."
I believe the rest of 411.209 would hold the agency or subdivision responsible if signs were posted.

Re: Carry at Dallas International Motorcycle Show
According to their statement they do not abide by State Law. State Law states that city owned or leased property is not 30.06 enforceable. The statement is saying that a leasing of city property by a vender is 30.06 enforceable.Tazman wrote:RogueUSMC wrote:From their website...
http://www.dallasconventioncenter.com/contact-us/faqs/What is your Weapons Policy?
The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas follows all applicable State and local laws regarding weapons in the facility. Weapons of any kind are not allowed at collegiate, religious, or high school events pursuant to Texas Penal Code (§46.03 & §46.035). Event organizers may further restrict weapons based upon their association’s/ organization’s rules and regulations.
Thanks, I guess I missed that part of the FAQ in my haste to find an answer.
Still no definitive answer - if I were in a car, it wouldn't be an issue as I would just do the walk of shame back to the car and put the weapon in a lock box. Unfortunately, I do not have that luxury on a motorcycle as there is no place to stash it!
