Re: "I Carry A Badge" Leather Concealed Weapon Permit Holder

I have given much consideration to carrying concealed and came across this posting during my research.

We carry so that if we have to defend our life we have the option. We practice to hone our skills at the range so we can get that perfect grouping. Dry practice drawing and other activities are also part of the thought process. But what about AFTER the trigger is pulled. In the event I have to have my gun drawn until police arrive on the scene I want to give the police every chance to correctly assess the situation and not shoot me. A badge is completely ridiculous as are a sash or the hoffner ID holder. Like Teamless posted, I also use a wallet with a detachable ID holder (with a small addition).

You can get them at Walmart for $15.

The style is called a passcase wallet.
I put my permit in the bottom half which stays hidden in a slot in the wallet and my Driver license on top.
Image
This allows me to remove my driver’s license only by sliding it out of the holder or remove the whole holder with both my permit and DL for traffic stops and such.

I did however add a small loop of heavy thread to the ID holder.

It can be tucked into one of the extra card slots in the back the detachable holder.

The cord stays tucked away and out of sight.

But should the need arise, the cord can pulled out and used to hang the ID holder around my neck.

Of course putting the gun down as police pull up (not after) and putting my hands in the air is the first option.
But who would you rather be when the police roll up?
Subject A?

Or subject B?

I choose B.
