Re: Texas Carry Executive Director sued for filing signage complaint against Waller County
Was just doing some googling, and there is a slight update from a few weeks ago: http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2016/10/15/texas-ag-fires-off-brief-in-waller-courthouse-gun-carry-lawsuit/ TLDR: TXAG filed a brief saying that the Waller County court should not be the site of the lawsuit and to dismis...

Re: Texas Carry Executive Director sued for filing signage complaint against Waller County
The Waller County DA and a representative from the TAG office were interviewed about this today on the Houston Matters radio show. Re: Houston Zoo Reinstalls No Guns Signs
When can we expect the DA to rule on these complaints and start issuing the fines? It's been nearly six months since the law went into effect and we began filing complaints, but I've yet to hear of a single one resulting in a fine. I sent two freedom of information requests to the Attorney General....

Re: Houston Livestock Show/Rodeo to Prohibit OC
I submitted a freedom of information request to the AG for any replies that his office has made to any improper 30.06 signs and they just emailed me and told me that they hadn't replied to ANY yet.
No way in hell these signs will be taken down by the end of the rodeo :/

Nice work TexasCajun!
If we do need a photo, the event opens at 5pm next Thursday and I may be able to get down there to take a photo of the the signage.

"The amount of people that goes there" is not mentioned in any of the state statutes.lildave40 wrote:I dont know where the ruling is. But is due to the amount of people that goes there. It has been in place for a few years now.

Re: Houston Livestock Show/Rodeo to Prohibit OC
Article says that they are preventing open carry and concealed carry. Definitely agree that the rodeo/concert inside NRG stadium is a professional sporting event, but not sure how they feel they have a leg to stand on with the cookoff/animal displays in the arena/the fair. All are on county-owned la...

Re: Does "No weapons" mean "No CHL"?
Word of caution, you may run into some trouble because they have banned all liquids from entering the premises :rolll and I'll beat they will be checking bags/pockets/etc. Should be interesting. I'm not even sure why they have the right to ban food and drink unless it's a truly private venue. They ...

Drove by on Will Clayton today and saw the normal "Lifetime Fitness bans guns on these premises" sign on the front door. Do they have the 30.06 posted on the inner doors?zigzag wrote:This is the one at West Lake Houston Pkway and Will Clayton Rd , Atascocita, Texas. Really nice place .

This is the one at West Lake Houston Pkway and Will Clayton Rd , Atascocita, Texas. Really nice place . This must be really new, because they have had a gunbusters sign for forever and never any real signage. Makes me feel even better after cancelling my membership in April and signing up with a lo...

Thanks Keith B. & thanks to all. I just contacted TABC & they confirmed everything we have said here about the sign color. They are going to be sending an officer over to the Opry House with the correct signage. Win some... Just as an FYI, I submitted a form to the TABC about an incorrect s...

Re: Legality of 51% sign in a bar in a bowling alley?
Got a call back just now from a very nice person at the TABC Houston office. He said a compliance officer was sent out and they were issued 2 warnings. One for improper posting and one for another form of that wording. Sounds like that they A) Had a red sign instead of blue and B) improper sign loc...
