Re: Kahr Arms Customer Service

When my wife bought mine, we knew next to nothing about Kahrs.
We knew one of the guys we went to the range with in Florda wanted one.
We knew one of the guys who worked for me in Florida had bought one after
we moved to Texas. And after she bought it, we did some research and knew
that there were some very vocal people who had some issues with their P40.

I was afraid I'd have FTL issues with it. I had an issue on my first trip to the range,
but it was me. I had limp writed it a few times. I had 2 or 3 issues where it chambered
but didn't return to battery. A quick tap and it returned to battery and fired when I pulled the
trigger. I've adjusted my grip and it now fires 100% of the time for me. I also had the
broken follower that caused it to not lock open on an empty magazine. But that was quickly
fixed and for free. I've got no issues at all with Kahr's CS.

I've never fired more than a couple hundred rounds at a time with it, because I'm normally
shooting 3 or 4 different guns when I go. But I trust it well enough for it to be my carry
piece every day.

I've got a friend who shoots Glock. He gives me grief about only having 6+1 rounds.
But the way I look at it is that I've got a spare magazine, and a box of rounds in my glove box.
My 7 rounds should be enough to get me and mine out of harms way, in all but the worst situations.
And if a situation is that bad, I probably should have seen the signs and been heading to the truck
before I needed the 7 rounds.

Re: Kahr Arms Customer Service

I'll add a +1 on both the broken follower and the manner in which CS took care of it.

I noticed mine was broken when my P40 started to fail to lock back when the magazine was empty.
My son and I had shot about 80 rounds at the range that day when it started. I didn't have a spare with me, so
I just put it away and started with my SW Model 19 (man I love that gun). When I got home, I called CS
and was on the line less than 5 minutes. I had expected to buy the follower, but they shipped it to me for free.
