Re: Special Prosecutor / crooked lawyer?

I watched too much news last night.

I am pretty frustrated with a Prosecutor forcing a Lawyer to divulge privileged information about their client(s).

I've never asked one of my lawyers to 'fix' a confideniaity issue with a porn star or playboy model (THAT-IS-MY-STORY-AND-I-AM-STICKING-TO-IT) but if I had made such a request of my lawyer, I don't see how a Prosecutor can be allowed to force the information from them. Or, how the Prosecutor can be allowed to make the information public.

Like I said, this goes against everything I've learn by watching Lawyers on TV for 50+ years.

Special Prosecutor / crooked lawyer?

Muller / Cohen
I don't understand

How do you get legal advice?

Do you have to investigate your lawyer before you ask for advice? To make sure they haven't committed any felonies that can be used as leverage against them so the prosecutor can turn them against you?

Do you have to use key phrases at the beginning of every conversation asking for legal advice?
Like:
Can you help me pay the lowest amount of income taxes allowed by law?
I think I stopped that bad guy from doing a bad thing? How should I phrase my response to the detective?

Do you have to study law and know it better than the prosecutor to fight a traffic ticket?

I don't understand how a prosecutor can be allowed to force (or bribe (with a better sentencing recommendation)) a lawyer to give testimony against a client.

This isn't like Perry Mason and all the other TV Show Lawyers I've been watching for the last 50 years.

Ok. Maybe it just a bad day for Trump. Too late at night. And...
