At a previous job, a coworker did that if someone in our group didn't lock their computer when they left the room, even if they were only gone a minute to the coffeemaker down the hall. He usually sent something like "I'm feeling frisky" to the group alias for our counterparts in NY, but pity the fool who went to lunch and forgot to lock their computer.
Your coworker would not have liked the consequences if I had been one of "his" victims and could prove "he" did that to me. I take such things as something other than a joke and respond accordingly.
