i got my naturalization certificate in 2004.

but the problem is it doesnt state the place of birth. only my previous nationality which is indian. but i was born in dubai.

I don't think any problem because you're giving DPS proof of US citizenship. Your national origin shouldn't matter. You can email or phone the CHL staff to get an official answer if you want. http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administra ... ations.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

P.S. My suggestion for the Passport Card won't help with CHL. General comment only.

I suggest getting a US Passport Card. It's only $55 for 10 years ($30 to renew) and proves you're a US citizen. Even if you never take a road trip to Mexico or a Caribbean cruise, it's not a bad idea to have wallet-size proof of US citizenship these days. It's also convenient single document to prove identity and employment authorization for an I-9 form or any other purpose.
