From that basis as their core belief, it is unconscionable to consider the truth that human nature inevitably results in the strong -- in one manner or another -- taking advantage of the weak. To them, altruism should overcome human nature because their story has a happy ending if folks will just fall in line -- logically putting the cart before the horse, so to speak. The tragedy of their belief system is that the truth about human nature always produces an equality of misery under Socialist Governments -- and there are always folks leading such Governments that are autocratic.
