Re: Sig P250 vs 2022

I've handled and shot a 2022, but not a P250, so I only can comment on the former.

My mother has a SP2022 in 9mm, and it is her house gun. The DA is ok, and the SA is indeed nice. She has small hands, but the switchable grips helped the gun fit her hand better. We both dig how it doesn't have external safeties. The decocker works well and is positioned just right. It feels rock solid, and the price is excellent IMHO. It's easy to shoot well with. Just about the only ding I can give it is the take down/field strip: I can manage to remove the take down lever/pin without much issue, but it's nigh impossible for my mom. She doesn't have hand strength issues, or arthritis or anything like that, but it takes a bit of work and pressure with your hands to get the pin to pop out since you have to hold the slide back in position while you are attempting to do so. I do know that the pin becomes looser the more you break it down, and I'm sure that helps, but man I really wish SIG had run a different approach. The mags can also be a little pricey as well, and hers only came with one 15 rounder.

Still though, I like it enough to want one myself!
