You can take your gun in - but you have to have it unloaded (magazine in pocket) and then present it to the table at registration for them to put an orange tie wrap through it so it is disabled.
What can you do...
Have fun!

gun show thoughts and questions
I have only been to a couple gun shows so when I went to the Pasadena show last weekend I was a little disappointed. I’m not sure what I expected, but it wasn’t it. No one had hand guns with the crimson trace laser grips, just one of the items I’m looking for. Also the prices for the guns didn’t seem like it was a deal. I thought you could get good deals at the shows.
So for the folks that have gone to them for many years, do you get good deals there? I have a Beretta Mini-Cougar 8000 9mm – I was hoping to find some magazines, magazine spacers, ammo, holster(s) for it and maybe a new handgun or two.
If I buy a gun or two (hand gun) I just need my TDL, correct and money (I know – that is the sticky part – everyone wants the money)? This may seem like a stupid question, but is there a waiting period and if so, how do you get the gun? I thought there was not a wait at gun shows, but I wanted to double check.
I have just gotten into shooting again and am waiting for my CHL – finally it says process application, so maybe I’ll get it this month . So I don’t know if I should buy any handguns until I carry for a month or two to see what I like about my Beretta and if there is anything I don’t like so I can change when I buy another one. The handguns I’m looking at all have laser grips – S&W 410S .40 a Kimber Ultra Carry II .45. I’m not sure if I buy two if they will both have laser, but I know I want one to have the laser grips. I’ve heard some good things about them and want to try them out and of course they don’t make them for my Beretta. Are there any personal thoughts on the S&W or Kimber that I’m considering purchasing?
So at the shows, do you pay what the tag says or do you negotiate down? If you take cash will they go lower? Do you pay tax at the show?
Sorry for the long post and added questions – I’ll be there on one of the days, probably Sunday.
