My card never leaves my hand, I swipe it myself.

The only time I got ripped off was when my bank made everbody switch to Master debit cards instead of plain ATM (or pay stupid fees), and I used it to pay at a restaurant. You know, waiter takes it away, comes back later with a receipt for you to sign. Somebody used my number to order a couple thousand bucks worth of stuff from a truck stop pay phone a few blocks from the restaurant just a couple hours later.

So I swipe it myself or pay cash.
