Please list them for us.

Chas.
The law has been patched and ducktaped and wired up so many times it's hard to keep track.

How many people show up here and their first few posts say they KNOW they can't carry in a hospital or church because their chl instructor told them so? Too many to count. Lots tell how their CHL instructor told this or that that isn't true. "One drop of alcohol", "printing if anyone knows your carrying", lots of bad advice about deadly force. Amusement parks, bars versus restuarants versus e-z-marts versus wal mart becuz they sell beer.

How about car carry versus travelling. Boy,that's real clear.Good example of how the law keeps getting patched up instead of really fixed.

Best way to fix the law is repeal most of it.

I think when people say campus carry they mean college. Federal ban is only k-12.

I don't think the open carry people would work against any campus carry or parking lot bill. I agree with them about not fighting other bills just to get yours passed.

Re: TX rep to author OC

I don't know, maybe the OC folks got it wrong by reading this forum and others. I read for a long time before I registered. Seems like a lot of people don't understand everythings and think brandishing or printing are crimes. Maybe their taught wrong, lots of people thinks its illegal to carry in hospitals too. Some posts here make it sound like some chl intructors don't know any better and teach bad info. I saw the instructors griping about the DPS lawyer giving bad info at instructor school. If dps is wrong what do you do?

Lot of good answers here but also a lot of questions that show maybe hte average chl wasn't taught right and doesn't know the law like he should. If Texas chls and some chls instructors don't know better maybe its okay if someone from another state is confused.

People who know the law know it says intentional not printing, but lots and lots of chls who don't study the law worry about it. They might change clothes or not carry all because they worry about being seen. A gun in the safe don't help nobody.

Re: TX rep to author OC

I don't know abojut that stuff about derailing other bills. Maybe I missed something. I guess I'm not politician enough to 'get it'.

All I know about working with people from cub scouts to FFA to 4H to church board and union steward, is leave personalities at the door. Its all about goals and issues. I work with people when I cant stand their guts if we agree on an issue. I fight my best friend when we disagree. Secret deals and klicks are wrong. Shine the light of day on everything.

Nobody pushing a gun rights bill is my enemy unless he tries to sneak in some back door deal that says "you can vote against that other guy's gun bill and I won't complain if you just vote for my bill instead". That's dirty backdoor politics, I don't care what party youu're in or what side you're on and I don't care if its parking lots or campus or open carry.

Be honest and open. None of that backroom stuff.

What do you mean by this? Lobbyists work with legislators, they are the people who pass bills, not "other gun rights folks."

Chas.
I mean I don't know why folks who share 99% of the same ideas can't get along.

Not taken one side or another. I want open carry to be legal but would probably conceal most of the time. I want "constitutional carry" to be legal. Not going to work against anybody's bill that makes our guns rights stronger. Not going to bad mouth them for trying even if they lose. Parking lot, campus, Arizona style, lets get all we can get, and I don't care who writes the bill or who supports it.

Its a lot like church. Two churches with 99% same beliefs have a big skism (sp?) over the last 1%. One side quotes Paul about "disputable matters", the other side gets mad and says its not disputable, it's a basic principal of faith and they both go away mad. No sense in that, keep the big goal in site and cheer anybody who gets closer.
