Started out with a Ruger mini14 but it quickly became problematic with so many FTE that I couldnt complete a string. Never did figure out what the issue was other than it was drizzling which may have caused the 5.56 rounds to stick. Who knows as it never did it again after that event.
In frustration I asked if I could switch rifles. They asked what I wanted to shoot instead and I informed I should do things proper with my Garand. They agreed
The 2 round clips are a little hard to deal with but I would start with one and reload with the 8. It was tons of fun and the younger shooters got to see a real rifle in action...the shooter not so much
