Re: TXshoot.com - Consolidate this information.
I was in touch with the Developer of the Map/Calendar plugin & it has now been updated, it appears to load better for me on the PC & tablet now. Map still takes a while to populate itself once the page is loaded though. Remanifest: Not sure what you mean by the second part, but yes I'll rely...

Re: TXshoot.com - Consolidate this information.
It has been slow recently, can't figure out why. (if anyone knows how websites work please shoot me an email.)
I've been able to load it today, I was in there changing a few things earlier which may have caused the error.

TXshoot.com - Consolidate this information.
In order to promote the participation in shooting competitions & events across Texas, I've started a project. I took some inspiration from the Crossfit website that was sent to me one day, they have a clear map with the locations & dates of their gym's, so there's almost no excuse to avoid g...

Re: .223 vs 5.56 accuracy beyond 500 yards
Bullet selection will be more important than 223 vs 556. Beyond 500 yards I'd be shooting some type of 70-77 gr match bullets. Mk 262 is popular & can be found for 60 cents or so. 223/556 has to do with the max pressure, & there are some differences in the chamber as well. So the edge would ...

Re: Gun belts
I'd like to add another to the list:

I've been very impressed by the Aegis version of his belt, so I bought one of the standard ones to try out as well. They seem to be stiffer than the beltman, which is also a very nice belt.

Re: Stiffening leather
A lot of "gun belts" have a kydex or other material sewn between the belt layers to help stiffen the belt. I think it would be really difficult to re-stiffen a worn out leather belt. I've worn out a couple of nice gun belts. They got rather flimsy, but, it took years not 3-6 months to wea...

I'll start: Marlin 1895sbl ss/laminate in .45-70 [ Image ] I see them online now and again, but there was a period of time there where the workmanship was horrendous, so I've got to see it in person before I buy it. Good choice. I've had my eye on that one for a while. My son's shop had one in for ...

"Suspend the constitutional three day rule" What does this mean re: the Texas constitution? I did a search & it turned up a few sections. The Texas Constitution requires the bill to be heard on 3 several days. They can suspend this rule, however. This one? (b) When such a period of em...

Re: Target storage
I had no idea that any one single person would need so many targets that it would require storage. Not saying you don't but am curious as to the reasoning. :headscratch Personally I'd throw them away and store ammo. It looks like you have more than a lifetime supply... Larry :headscratch So its ok ...

Am I the only one that caught the muzzle sweep?
Finger on the trigger, action closed, and past the side barrier, towards the instructor!! I'll never understand how hard it is for some people to keep a stick like object in a safe direction.
