Pretty funny even the neighbors won't let her in the house
That's hard to watch... Awkward situations can be good in sitcoms, but when it's real they just make me feel, well, awkward.

The old man was funny, though.

Re: IRS APOLOGIZES FOR TARGETING TEA PARTY GROUPS

Fox is reporting that the IRS was told by Washington DC to target conservative groups:

As far as I could tell, the article doesn't elaborate on exactly what "Washington DC" means... Assuming their sources are correct, it could still just be internal to the IRS (but I kinda doubt it).

I didn't catch that.. but.. I'm doing spreadsheets while the hearings are playing on the other screen, so, I may have missed it..

Mr. George is, generally, one of the good guys in all this.. He seems to be competent, thorough and answering questions to the best of his ability or to the limits imposed upon him by current law. I wonder how he feels having to sit beside those other tyranny-enabling slimeballs.?
When asked how he could come to the to the conclusion that this wasn't politically motivated, he said something along the lines of "I can't answer that without giving, for example, terrorists information about how to get tax-exempt status".

Re: IRS APOLOGIZES FOR TARGETING TEA PARTY GROUPS

I'd have thought someone capable of being appointed to, well, anything would have been able to understand the concept of "a 'yes' or 'no' question".

This is my problem - she can lie (by omission) to Congress on four separate occasions then when they find she is lying she pleads the Fifth. I think Congress should charge her perjury and criminally prosecute her until some facts start flowing from her.
Oh, absolutely. Throw her in with all the mob and drug cartel people in prison for tax evasion.

Either what she did is not illegal, as the guy who just resigned claims, or it is illegal and she'll plead the Fifth. If it's NOT illegal, then can she plead the 5th without being in contempt of Congress?
Actually, since this isn't a trial (yet), can she plead the fifth at all? I'm thinking yes, since the fifth would be somewhat toothless if it only applied to actual trials, but I've been wrong before.
