My understanding is that as long as the mags are 10 rounds or less and the barrel isn't threaded (not entirely sure on that one), you can still bring it with you to CA.JALLEN wrote:If I had to buy a pistol, having none, I would buy the Sig 226 Navy I bought years ago. If it is good enough for SEALS and SAS, it is good enough for me!
If I were to buy one more pistol to add to what I already have (226 Navy, GP100, P7M8, Ruger rimfires) I would buy an HK45. I bought a Cali legal HK45C but sold it when I made the decision to move to Texas, so as not to take it out of Cali. That is the first thing I will buy when I get there.

I'm sure I'll eventually try to insert a bullet backwards or something... Does that count as a FTF?mot7981 wrote:I know we all love our semi's and everything listed so far are great choices. But how bout a little love for old school revolvers. I bought my S&W 19 used over 20 years ago and never ever a FTF.

A Glock 20 or FN FiveseveN if I need to cut down weight for survival, a Sig P220/P226/P228/P229 or 1911 if I don't have to worry about every single ounce.
