Re: State Police Confirm Weapons Used in Newtown Shootings
They (snopes) claims the medical examiner said most were shot with the AR. The ME did claim the shooting was done with an AR. However, when asked the ME did not know what caliber bullet caused the wounds. Brings up the question "If he doesn't know the caliber, how does he know it was an AR?&qu...

Re: Carry in Texas Renaissance Festival
I've heard that TexRen has been told to remove the signs (which they're not going to do). The pubs inside the grounds are supposedly individually posted.
TexRen has said they will post 30.06 signs next season.

I like it! I wouldn't use a Smart Carry the intended way, but this makes a lot of sense.

Re: Local Gun store owner supports ammo ban
Just curious. How many of the posters here even live in the West Houston area? It is easy to say you will not support a business in Katy if you live for example in the Dallas Metro area or even on the other side of Houston. They're about four miles away from me. This particular uproar isn't why I d...

Re: Congress Strikes Major Blow to the Westboro Wacko's
What we really need is a SCOTUS ruling that beating the snot out of protesters is free speech. :reddevil If burning the American Flag is covered under the 1A then I don't see why this shouldn't be either. :leaving Back when Flag burning was in the news, didn't Tennessee establish a $1.00 fine as th...

Have the Bersa UC9 and love it. Have the Bersa 380CC and don't care for it.

I've also had good experiences with Freedom Munitions -- fairly quick delivery, great prices, and great ammo.

Re: Best gun for women
A Bersa UC 9 is a fine handgun. It's weighty and absorbs recoil, so it's easy and comfortable to shoot. Very accurate, too. The only downside is that extra magazines are kind of pricey (like $35 or so). A website specializing in Bersa accessories ( http://www.condorsflight.com/ ) occasionally has th...

Re: If Obama gets relected.....
The question in the back of my mind is "What do we do if he does get re-elected?". I mean, if that were to happen, this country would be forever ruined, perhaps beyond repair. I've started to think it might not be as bad as expected. It could be like Clinton's second term -- where he was ...
