Great idea.

I'd be willing to pay $100-$150 a seat to attend. Be nice to raise $20,000 or $30,000 "for the cause".

The subject of open carry came up and it obvious that he didn't like the fact that law passed, but it was his comment that got got me. He said that they're going to stop anyone open carrying in Houston and that the city is going to have to hire more officers because of this law.
If that starts going on, then I will definitely open carry. I already carry a voice recorder anyway, so I'll also pull out my voice and video it. I have no problem with being willing to file a lawsuit.

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....

Right now, before SB11, I can carry on any college premises, meaning parking lots and grounds, of every "institution of higher learning". I am only forbidden to carry within a building.

The conference report linked above (unless I misread it) now give the college the authority to create rules that forbid me from carrying on the parking lot and grounds in return for a theoretical right to carry in buildings only on campuses that decide to allow me that privilege.

Unless I am mistaken, this is a major step backwards, not forwards.

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....

I do not have time to read 79 pages of message thread, and I do not know what votes were taken nor the significance of a yeah or nay for each vote.

Can someone please help me with any votes associated with Rep. Patricia Harless on SB11 and HB910? I'd like to know if she supported the right votes or was part of the sleaze to derail things.

I have communicated with her on numerous occasions as her constituent, expressing support for the bills. I'd like to know if she helped, hurt, or was indifferent to these bills.
