That officer was far more patient than I would have been. I would have shot a dog much earlier than that instead of facing getting bitten.

The only way I have successfully broken up dog fights was by grabbing their back legs and picking them up like a wheelbarrow. Still need help getting them subdued, or I could be like the dog that chases a car and catches it: what do I do next?

Holding a dog like a wheelbarrow keeps me from getting bit, but if the dog is trying to bite me that is still a lot trouble at the other end.
