Your response is either disingenuous or naive, not sure which.

There are 53 Democrats in the Senate and 90% will support gun control measures.

There are 45 Republicans in the Senate and 90% will oppose gun control measures.

Saying the GOP sold out the Senate makes as much sense as picking out the 2 or 3 Democrats that will oppose gun control and saying "the Democrat Party opposes gun control."

So how do you reach the conclusion "We are being sold, GOP style"?

All of these bills at the federal and state levels are being introduced and championed by DEMOCRATS. Just because there are a handful of (R) senators who state they are willing to discuss the issue does not mean that is the Republican party position.

Your characterization that it is the GOP doing the selling is disingenuous, at best.
