Today I had a job interview with the Texas Veterans Commission at the Houston VA Hospital. I entered through one of the gates on Almeda Rd and saw no signs stating that it was illegal to carry on VA property. The building I went to was posted and had metal detectors. Incidentally, while waiting for my interview a campus police officer, not sure what university he was associated with, came into the building, went behind the security desk and proceeded to disarm and place his weapon in a drawer which the security officer locked and gave the LEO the key.
I saw no VA police, only a few security guards, both in the building and the parking lot. Parking is definitely lacking as some have stated.

Re: Gun On Veterans Administration Property?
I have to go on the VA property in Houston next week to visit the Texas Veterans Commission. Since I am driving a long way to get there, about 100 miles, I guess I'm taking a chance. If there is some sort of parking outside the grounds off of Almeda Rd I'll park there. Otherwise.............
