That is funny here in New Braunfels we have a UPS store a Fedex store but also a fedex hub. The UPS store has a policy of NO firarms of any type at anytime.. its the store policy, the fedex store never knows the answer but the fedex hub is very pro gun and has all the answers. Maybe I am lucky to have a gun frindly Fedex in my town.

Sorry if I was not clear... 15.00 from Fedex based on weight and size of the box, 2 day air IS the norm... I do not break any laws and do it often enough to know either I am right or FedEx in TX is breaking the law and they are not. There is a big difference in dealing with FedEx on you own and going to the FedEx store and talking to a 20 year old kid.

I am not going to loose my CHL or -03 trying to save a few bucks. : tip hat:

If you are sending the gun to the manufacturer, it’s a non issue.

I didn't say I went to an FFL because I had to, I use one because of the cost of shipping. An FFL can ship a handgun via USPS, where I as an individual can not, and its quite a bit cheaper than using fed-ex or UPS.

If you can get a ffl for under 20 thats great... best I can get is 25.. and I an VERY happy to get that rate.. but rember when you give your gun to a FFL its no longer your gun. 99.9% there is no problem.. but its no longer your gun in the eye of ATF.

You got ripped off... I have a FedEx account so I do it all on-line and they pick it up at my house. In 2010 I sent no less then 4 pistols to have work done and they all cost me under $20.00 US out of Texas. Its not over night, it has to be 2 day for pistols. You can set up an at home FedEx account on your CPU for free. Its nice around X-mass and peoples B-days, Oh and its nice for shipping firearms and ammo.
