As I read this, Texas is not only the only State to say NO, there has been several other States in past elections that have said No to these observers. They will whine about it in their report.
They are used to working with Countries where the Central Government makes all the laws. In the US the States control the election process. Most States only allow qualified observers to view elections. Even LEO's are not allowed in unless asked to quell a disturbance or to vote! :rules: :thumbs2:

Re: UN to Monitor Elections in Texas

Here is the list by name and duty station. It looks like we get two females. Are they hoping it will look better for them if two women get arrested on national TV? Regardless, I hope our AG doesn't back down if they try to enter a polling place.

If anyone can stretch it and make it stick, AG Abbott is our man.

I pray we still have some Texas leaders that will show some good old Texan leadership. I also believe Texas has some, if not probably most, Law Enforcement Officers that would jump at the chance to handcuff some of them UN interlopers. :txflag:
If AG Abbott stands up to them he will be our next Govenor!

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott wrote:"Elections and election observation are regulated by state law. The Texas Election Code governs anyone who participates in Texas elections—including representatives of the OSCE. The OSCE’s representatives are not authorized by Texas law to enter a polling place. It may be a criminal offense for OSCE’s representatives to maintain a presence within 100 feet of a polling place’s entrance. Failure to comply with these requirements could subject the OSCE’s representatives to criminal prosecution for violating state law.

Sincerely,
Greg Abbott
Attorney General of Texas"

Fox News reported on OSCE's reply earlier today. I forget their exact wording, but OSCE is not happy and not amused... IIRC, they essentially said "bring it on". TX had better not back down if this group tries anything illegal.
Fox had AG Abbott on and he reiterated what he said in his letter. If they get within 100 ft of a polling place they are breaking the law. I think the target for these goons is Houston.

Re: UN to Monitor Elections in Texas

AG Abbott has spelled out the law now it will be up to LE to make sure it gets carried out.

I think they wouldnt have any trouble getting Patriots to voluteer any assistants that might be required to get these foreign troops out of Texas. .......Tar and Feathers does come to mind though.
