You already know this Craigslist person is a BG and it is not unheard of that supposed sellers will advertise on Craigslist and then rob(or worse) the buyer when they meet. It is not worth it, even if you have have lots of backup friends. The BG may have friends too......then what?
Let the LEO's know or certainly let Craigslist know what you suspect. If nothing happens then your insurrance should payup. You may want to see if you can come up with better security on you home or car that was broken into.
