I went to the Allen Gun Show a couple of weeks ago and they did have a 30.6 sign taped to the glass entry doors and another one that said NO CHL Carry. Yet several of the venders were open carrying inside the show. There were several LEO's outside and inside.

I can understand why ALL guns should be unloaded at a Gunshow. Lets say I am carrying my 1911 concealed and see something that I can't live without and the only wany for me to get it would be to trade my 1911. Do I pull out my loaded gun with a round in the chamber and unload it it. Probably not the safest thing to do with that many folks around. Besides if trouble happened I think with all the LEO's there I don't think it wouldn't last long.

BTW....my 1911 is not for sale or trade

It would seem to me ( a not yet CHL holder, but all the paperwork is in.) that the Constitution gives us the right to bear arms yet the State is suppose to regulate that right while each city is trying to do the States job. We would end up with a big mess.

I am guessing they don't have a 30.6 sign, so is it ok to assume that if you go to another event other than a gun show and security spots your concealed gun they will do what?????

I'm wondering why you would reveal that you were carrying a concealed handgun to anyone other than an inquiring LEO. If he isn't in uniform, or displaying a badge and department ID, my reply is always the same: "It's none of your business." It seems to me that this business of acting one way about a lawfully concealed handgun in one place and acting differently in another place is a recipe for tragedy. JMHO.

"its none of your business" may promote and aggressive responce from the person asking, rather you might try "Why would that be any of your business"? (In a level adult voice) I would want to know who this person asking the question is before I revealed wheather I was carrying or not. If he/she insists without saying who they are. I would tell him that we are going to find the closest LEO before you reveal anything. I did not attend the Allen GS but did attend Plano and there were several LEO's at that show.
