I am have almost hit the 40 year old mark, and without a readily accessible firearm I would have never made it this far. At the time I lived in VA (which allows open carry of a firearms without a license) and was fortunate enough to have a .40 Caliber Handgun with a standard capacity 15 round magazine loaded, chambered, and on my right hip. In one swift motion I drew my weapon and hit the “up” button on my power windows. The attempted car jackers turned around quickly when they realized that they were dealing with an armed citizen.
