Re: Brewery Not 51% ...
If they don't sell for on premise consumption, that makes perfect sense. What if they do sell for on-premise consumption? Tupp's Brewery in McKinney does sell for on premise consumption, and has a 51% sign nailed to a post by their entrance. And they have a Blue Sign nailed onto the Red Sign, parti...

Re: UCW in a 51% location
Don't carry into 51% place. If the state has entrusted you with a CHL/LTC, obey the laws about where you can legally carry. :nono: The location/owner/licensee and whether or not anyone else is breaking the law is irrelevant. As CHL/LTC holders, we are to be examples of lawful behavior when carrying...

Re: How Far Would You Go To Help?
Based on the video there are far to many questions to intervene. The victim said he just asked them to stop smoking pot, but how do we know this is true. Maybe the victim had just flashed a weapon? Maybe it was a "jump in" for a gang? Maybe the victim had stolen something from one of the &...

Re: Is it legal? Sign split in two...
Not to nit pick, but we all get that this sign is legal no matter what. It has broken no laws. Now whether it is "enforceable" may be up for debate. :biggrinjester: Has anyone ever been arrested and convicted for carry past any sign? Especially 30.06? I have never heard of a case or seen ...

Re: Bum banging on my door.
At this point I answered with a clear “no” and pointed him to the "No Soliciting" sign right under my doorbell. At this point he started cursing and tried to come up with some arguments which caused me to tell him to leave now or I call Police. :tiphat: I probably wouldn't have answered t...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off
Playing devils advocate a bit here, but could you provide the section of penal code that he violated that the trooper would have been warning him that he violated? Flipping someone off is only a crime when witnessed and then complained about/reported by a third party. No third party involved here. ...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off
Having an offensive bumper sticker is not nearly as likely to incite violence as flipping someone off. I didn't say I WANTED them to pull anyone over, nor did I say it should be standard practice. However, stupid is as stupid does. Actions SHOULD have consequences. If you flip off a cop, and you ge...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off
However, I don't see the problem in pulling someone over and advising them of the foolishness they displayed, and then politely point out the potential to incite road rage that could potentially result in their own injury or demise. The guy does not need to be a LEO, either way. I do. No crime was ...

Re: Texas Ranger pulls gun on driver who flipped him off
#1> Flipping the bird is covered under 1A #2> I grew up in the era of the Colonial Parkway murders. If someone out of uniform in an unmarked car pulled me over and then exited the car with a gun, the day would have ended poorly for all involved. #3> This officer should be fired. He has proven throug...

Re: Had to Pull My Gun Today!
Pits were NOT originally bred for fighting. That is a Bastardization of the original breed. In the UK the call them Staffordshire Terriers and are known as Nanny Dogs. I think the were are quite a few generations away from just about every breeds intended purpose. If not we would be duck hunting wi...

Re: This Texting While Driving is really starting to get to me!
If someone hurts me or my family while texting and driving they will need an ambulance, not an attorney. I honked at an LEO the other day that was texting and he chirped his sirens at me. We were beside each other at the next light and he let me know he was conducting work on his mobile phone. I inf...
